About the Youth Engagement and Distribution of Winter Clothes
Volunteers of SHE have been conducting a meeting at the office of SHE on 6th January 2025 to determine how SHE could support the community people to save them from cold waves and cold weather. Executive committee members have also participated in their meetings through online platforms. They have shared that, many organizations have been already distributing blankets among the community people so it better if we could support the community people while workers, and women are working outside of the home. That will be helpful for them to continue their income-generating activities. Executive committee member have taken their proposal seriously and called for a meeting to assess their proposal and agreed upon to distribute shawls among the community people.
Then SHE screened potential beneficiaries for the distribution of winter clothes at Rajarhat Upazila, Kurigram from 25th-28th January 2025. A total of 30 shawls has been sent to Kurigram for further distribution 20 shawls for women and 10 shawls for men. Those shawls have been distributed among the underprivileged men and women to support them in continuing their regular income-generating activities and household chores during this cold weather. As well as these initiatives are helping them to prevent from cold, coughs, joint pain and maintain good health.
