About the Health Camp
SHE’s young volunteers first screen their surroundings to search “ who needs us most” as they want to organize a health camp for the community people vulnerable to natural disasters. Then they selected the area of Sulkurpur Bazar at Kurigram Sadar Upazila where many climate migrant people (who have lost their land due to river bank erosion) live. As well as whose house submerged during flash floods. According to the conversation that, the youth group of volunteers visited the participant’s household in consultation with local government representative and shared a token with them to invite them for the health camp. They have also mentioned the date, and place of the health camp. The event held on 9th November,2024. They also consider the distance of the event's location as women are invited to participate.
A female doctor was providing consultation so that women were comfortable sharing their health and hygiene-related issues. As well as participants also received consultation regarding skin diseases, seasonal fever, and children’s health etc. There was a sitting arrangement for the community people who were participating in the event. Around 70 individuals participated in this event. Women, pregnant women, children and male were were participating.
